This interactive roundtable provides an open forum for building officials, inspectors, plans examiners, and industry professionals to discuss the code development process and its impact on the profession. Participants will explore how code changes are proposed, reviewed, and adopted, as well as the role that professionals play in shaping future editions of the codes. The discussion will include insights into submitting code modification proposals, participating in hearings, understanding the review and voting process, and navigating the various committees involved in code development. Attendees will also have the opportunity to share experiences, discuss challenges, and exchange ideas on improving the process.This session encourages active participation and dialogue among attendees to help strengthen engagement in the code development process and ensure that the voices of code officials and industry professionals are represented.
